About Us
Founded in 2002, Hollywood Wizard is an international production, finance and distribution company created by veteran film producer Tony Kandah.
Mr. Kandah started his professional career in 1988 working for famed cinematographer and commercial director Ron Dexter, and worked his way to becoming a production manager on four feature films for PM Entertainment Group, one of the most prolific independent production houses of the 1990′s, and in 1993 producing his first action feature film “L.A. Wars”. Since then Kandah has produced four other feature films “Mask of Death”; “Starforce”; “Horrors of War” and “Shira”. Mr. Kandah serves on the Board of Directors of the Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA).
In 2009, Hollywood Wizard fully financed the action-adventure feature film “BALLISTICA” its first in-house production, and with the success of Ballistica in the marketplace, the company established a development fund through which it plans to develop for production up to 20 independent motion pictures over the next five years.
Hollywood Wizard intends to finance and produce large and small productions utilizing equity, bank debt, presales, U.S. and international subsidy programs.
The long-term objective of Hollywood Wizard is to become a prolific mini-major film studio with a consistent output of profitable, quality independent films.
Currently, Hollywood Wizard is proud to be involved in the financing and the worldwide distribution of the following high-quality projects:
BUM’S LUCK, A boy, a lost dog: together they find unbreakable friendship – a family feature film to be directed by Peter DeLuise (SGU Stargate Universe, The Haunting Hour: The Series, Stargate: Atlantis, Andromeda). Budget $5 million and is currently casting.
FOUR SAINTS, An epic war story of love, passion and bravery amidst the worst carnage mankind had ever seen. A World War I period piece to be directed by Jean-Pierre Isbouts (Operation Valkyrie, Beyond The Golden Compass, Walt: The Man Behind the Myth). Budget $15 million and is currently in preproduction.
Hollywood Wizard also created, and manages Cinesouq, The Worlds Online Film Market, to help independent filmmakers market their motion pictures to the entertainment industry worldwide.
